Find a Miami Car Accident Lawyer

Car crashes are the most common cause of injury claims in Miami-Dade. Whether you were rear-ended on I-95, T-boned at an intersection in Hialeah or sideswiped on the Palmetto, the steps you take in the first days matter. CarAccidentsMiami.com connects injured drivers and passengers with independent licensed Florida attorneys. We are a referral service, not a law firm.

How a Florida car accident claim works

Florida is a no-fault state. Your own Personal Injury Protection (PIP) pays first, covering 80% of reasonable medical bills and 60% of lost wages up to $10,000, as long as you get initial treatment within 14 days. If your injury is serious or permanent, you may step outside the no-fault system and claim against the at-fault driver for pain and suffering and other losses.

Common crash types

  • Rear-end collisions: frequent in stop-and-go traffic on I-95, US-1 and the expressways; neck and back injuries are common.
  • Left-turn and T-bone crashes: often at busy intersections where drivers misjudge oncoming traffic or run a red light.
  • Highway and merge crashes: lane changes and merges on the Palmetto, Dolphin and Turnpike.
  • Impaired or distracted drivers: texting, alcohol and drugs remain major causes of serious crashes.

What you may be able to recover

Depending on the facts, compensation can include medical expenses not covered by PIP, future medical care, lost income and earning capacity, and, if the injury threshold is met, pain and suffering. Every case is different and no outcome is guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

How much is my car accident case worth?

It depends on your injuries, medical bills, lost income, insurance limits and fault. No one can honestly promise a number at the start. An attorney can explain the factors in your case.

Do I need a lawyer for a minor crash?

Not always. If you were not hurt and only have property damage, you may handle it with your insurer. If you were injured or fault is disputed, a free review can help you understand your options.
